Name: Mark-Odean Antonio Grant
Tenure: 1998 - 2003
Crest: Yellow
House: Pascal
I can truly say that the years that I spent at St. Catherine High has
played crucial role in moulding me into a well rounded and competent
individual. I was exposed to leadership and responsibility at the
highest levels. This involved highly functional role in the Student
Council: I was the Advisor to the President, 1999 - 2000, and the
President for 2000 - 2001. I also held the position of Student
Representative to the School Board and other relevant Committees. This
was practical training that I have come to appreciate very much.
After I graduated from St. Catherine High School in 2003, I opted not
to go to sixth form, whcih was a tradition for students like myself. I
went to the the Caribbean Institute of Business where I pursued a
Diploma in Information Technology (Dip. I.T.) majoring in Information
Systems and Networking and minoring in Organisational Management. I
then went on to starting my own busines: Ideal Computer and Information
Solution (I.C.I.S.), where I practiced as an Information
Systems/Computer Consultant. This went really well until I felt very
isolated as I interacted most frequently with computer system. I needed
something more appealing. It was at this point that I decided to switch
my career to the Social Sciences.
I am currently a student of the University of the West Indies, where I
am pursuing a Bachelor of Scinece (B.Sc.) in Psychology, Sociology and
Criminology. I intend to continue to the M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology.
It is my ultimate goal to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology and
Criminal Correctional Counselling and Education.
I must say that my years at St. Catherine High School has contributed
significantly to my persoanl and social developmentment and have
instilled in me the values and morals that are necessary for achieving
success.
Thank you St. Catherine High School...
Special regards to Ms. Pasley, Mrs. Gayle-Madden
